Making Informed Choices When Eating Out

For years, a friend of mine jumped in his car pretty much every evening, drove down the hill to a certain drive-thru fast-food chain and got himself a large frozen dairy treat. He wanted nothing more than to end each night with his feet up, watching TV and digging into his daily dessert.

I remember the night I was over there and there was no dessert. When I asked about it, I got an earful.

Last week we discussed some of the reasons why I choose to work out from home. This week I thought it would be interesting to let you in on some of the ways in which I integrate activity into my days. I do work from home for half the week so it’s important for me to keep my productivity up, my body feeling healthy and strong, as well as maintain a positive mood and sharp mind.

I was sitting at my desk about to write a blog post about breakfast ideas when my daily tip from the eaTipster app popped up on my iPhone. I had to smile as it linked to a recipe that would make a great base for a quick breakfast - pumpkin raisin muffins.

It seems like there’s an app (mobile application) for everything. I did a search on the app store for “nutrition” apps and found 1,156 results (and counting).
